Dynamic output-feedback controller design for analgesia guided by the pupil size variation

Abstract : This paper pertains to the design of a dynamic output-feedback controller for analgesia taking into account the saturation of the input and the quantization of the output. Actually, the output is given by the smallest magnitude of the stimulus that induces a significant pupil size variation. In addition, to take into account multiple time scale dynamics in the analgesia model, the system is re-expressed by decoupling the fast dynamics from the slow ones.
