The rationale paradigm in system development lifecycle

Abstract : This paper describes a generic method to assist architectural design of heterogeneous systems. It extends current systems engineering lifecycle by improving design rationalization and incorporation of lessons learned. The author usesModel Driven approach to define architectural models of the system development lifecycle.The approach is based on the translation of requirements in quantitative and measurable technical indicators that could be integrated to the design models.Research presented in this paper rely on the EIA632 processes andIEEE1471 definitions.Unified Modeling Language (UML) and its subset, Systems Modeling Language (SysML) are used in method implementation.
