Etude des dégradations potentielles des ESS dans un micro-réseau d'éclairage autonome

Abstract : The first objective of this paper is to present a simple method to do the optimal sizing between the renewable energy sources we have to installed and the amount of storage needed for micro-grid development. We will apply this method in the case of sizing a DC micro-grid with photovoltaic sources, integrated to the building and dedicated to the lighting network self-sufficiency. The proposed sizing approach allows us to buid the charge/discharge storage power profile, whatever the storage technology used, from 2 years of production and consumption real data. The second objective is to show that with this sizing and in case of sealed lead-acid battery technology, also called "solar batteries", the typical fluctuations of the power profiles cause degradation mechanisms on batteries, which can lead to premature aging. However, some of these degradations are reversible if the constant voltage charging phase is ensured. Thus, we show the importance of taking into account this charging phase both in the design methodology, but also during operating conditions in order to improve the battery lifetime.
