Using Compact Thermal Modelling for the investigation of a cooling system dysfunction applied to a power module with double sided cooling

Abstract : Using our innovative Compact Thermal Model (CTM) methodology, in this paper, we demonstrate how CTM can help to predict junction temperature in case of a cooling dysfunction. We applied our method on a complex power module with double sided cooling to highlight the efficiency of this modelling tool.
